The Kingsway by the River project, situated in Toronto’s upscale Kingsway neighbourhood, is a new community of condominiums, condominium lofts, and urban townhomes overlooking the Humber River1. The development, completed in 2021 and 2022, consists of a 22-storey tower with 276 condominium units, 80 stacked townhouses, and an 8-storey mixed-use building with 137 condominium lofts and a large retail component on the ground floor.
Bothwell Accurate is using AVM's Dual Layer blind side water proofing system. This system is used when the foundation is in the water table and shotcrete is used for the structural concrete. The system is comprised of AVM's 500/502 polymer modified bitumen, geomembrane and Aussie Skin. The dual layer system has redundancy built in for any incidents where water pushes past the drain board in hydrostatic head instances.
